What kind of present is this?!

I've been following my doctor's advice and stayed home all weekend and did positively nothing but sleep and watch tv. Despite doing everything right I still have this fever and I've been feeling extremely nauseous throughout the day until this evening.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I had plans to go out to supper with my parents and grandparents and then with some friends afterward. Instead, it looks like I'll have to go back to my doctor in the morning and then stay in the house the rest of the day.

I've never had a persistent flu and fever like this before and really don't know what to make of it. All weekend I've been nervously wondering if its something more sinister and now my imagination and fears are getting the best of me.

Bad news aside, the State Amateur Championships went well this weekend and my absence was barely noticed. I must admit I was a bit anxious about it with just Dad running the show. wink.gif

Tonight I finally felt up to doing some browsing online and put together quotes for new laptops. Yes, I do mean laptops. I have to replace the one that was stolen in the break-in at the bowling center a couple months ago too. I was hoping I could find a special deal if I purchased two at the same time but to my surprise not one vendor offers even a slight discount for such cases. If I had found one it would have given me an excuse to splurge and get a brand new one instead of fixing the old one. Who knows I might still splurge anyway. It is my birthday, isn't it. biggrin.gif
