Dude, you're getting a Dell, again???
I finally decided to treat myself and just go ahead and get a new laptop instead of repairing the dud.
Yes, I decided to go with Dell again. On a whole I always found their systems pretty reliable and you can't beat their laptops unless you pay double for Alienware system.
I skimped on the processor by selecting only a Mobile Pentium® 4 1.6 GHz-M but did opt to upgrade to a 15.0 Dell UltraSharp Display. I won't be doing much gaming or video editing with it so I don't feel I'll need more processing power anyway.
To tell the truth currently anything over 1.5 GHz is thrown out money when it comes to laptops and their mobile chipsets. There is a huge bottleneck in the bus and any increased performance from the so called faster processors is hardly noticed.
