No one is home! Go away!

Between 6:30 and 8 tonight four candidates for local offices like Town Board and State Representative separately stopped by my home soliciting votes.

I really never liked this tactic that many politicians take. No one likes surprise visitors, right?

Since I'm active in local politics I personally know three of the four that came, so the conversations were dragged out even longer. I even had to give two of them tours of my new home.

To stop this from happening again before Nov 5th, this small 3"x5" sign now hangs from on my front door:
Absolutely No Soliciting!

To tell the truth, that sign was my second draft. The first draft read, "Solicitors (including Political Candidates) will be reported to the police and charged with Unlawful Trespass. Furthermore, Democrats and Independents would be sodomized with a bowling pin." I decided I had to remove that because they would ring the bell looking forward to it! wink.gif
