Thank you who ever you are!

Sheldon called me from the center this morning to tell me that UPS delivered a small, light box from Amazon.com. I couldn't understand what it could be as I didn't have any open orders and wasn't expecting anything from them. At the time I guessed it was a catalog or perhaps some type of promotional swag even though I never received anything like that from Amazon.com before. I even forgot about it until I stopped back at the center this evening to check on a few things and was reminded the box was waiting in the closet for me. Not expecting much I just grabbed the box on my way out and didn't even open it until after dinner.

Pentax Optio S 3.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical ZoomImagine my surprise when I opened the box and found the Pentax Optio S and another item that I had on my Amazon WishList inside! For heavens sake the camera alone is 399.99! I thought maybe Kat bought it for me but I knew it wasn't our anniversary and I couldn't think of any other special date coming up. So I called her and confirmed that she didn't send it. Unsure who else would treat me to such a gift I called my grandmother and then mom but neither were responsible. Since Amazon doesn't give any hints to who the purchaser might be I'm totally clueless who else would purchase such a wonderful and expensive gift for me.

I mostly use my wishlist as a place holder for items that I'd like to buy but don't have the money for right now. I've had a few inexpensive items sent to me off it before by friends and family but never received anything from an anonymous sender before.

Pentax Optio S inside an Altoids tin.I haven't had a chance to take any pictures with the camera yet that are worth publishing here but from the few experiments I've made I can see that its picture quality is excellent. You also can't beat its size and weight with the battery and an SD card installed. It really does fit in side an empty Altoids mint tin and thats where I even plan to keep mine. Its so light and small you really wouldn't mind bringing it every where you go. Its also jammed packed with features that aren't even found on full size digital cameras for twice the price. This camera truly is an engineering miracle and is much like the trade craft you see Q give to James Bond.

I'm still in shock as I've been drooling over this camera for awhile. Especially every time I walk past it when I go to my local Costco. Who ever is responsible I owe you at least a dinner at your favorite restaurant! Please come forward and let me know who you are. I'm not disclosing the other item so that I can confirm who really deserves the thanks.
