Computer Makers Sued Over Hard-Drive Size Claims

A group of computer owners has filed a lawsuit against some of the world's biggest makers of personal computers, claiming that their advertising deceptively overstates the true capacity of their hard drives.

Ever since TV and computer manufactures/sellers were sued over the marketed monitor screen size, I wondered how long it would take some enterprising lawyers to start suing over the preformat hard disk size. The sad thing about these types of suits is only the lawyers see any money. They are often able to expand their firms and also get personally rich from it. Meanwhile, at best, consumers joining the suit get a small coupon on their next purchase.
