Ups and Downs

Wow I didn't realize so much time passed since I last blogged.

Professionally things have been going well. Whats been happening personally is another story. I feel like I have been on a roller coaster that came loose on the third loop!

I don't like to dwell on bad things so I'm only going to provide a very brief synopsis; An allegedly high women without a drivers license plowed into my car, totaling it. Luckily I walked away with only some scratches and bruises. The psycho was also uninsured. Totally unrelated to that accident I had some health problems that I'm glad to say I'm recovering from.

On the other side of the coin, Max did it again. This time buying a much need monitor and backup drive off my Amazon Wish List. Hes the greatest!

Senator Leahey on the other hand is the worst. I've given up on trying to get anywhere with the fools in his offices regarding the Li-Ion batteries. I've been in contact with some folks at the FTC and FCC and I'm actually making some headway. No support for a sales ban, but what they're saying is just as good in my mind. More about this soon.

For Valentines Day, Kat and I went for dinner in Stowe. It couldn't have been a better evening. Besides the usual flowers I also gave her a victorian heart locket that I found at an antique show and she gave me something I would have never bought for myself, A Xbox and a few games, Simpsons: Hit and Run and Midway Arcade Treasures. Perfect for the child within me and her! wink.gif

On the laptop front I'm still waiting for Sager to release the 8790. However if its not released by the end of this month or if it has anything less than a WUXGA screen and I'm unable to find any other notebook with one I'm going to have to go for the Sager 8890-V w/ the 16" UXGA option and the Pentium 4 3.2GHzEE w/HT.
