Test and easily share your broadband speed

SpeedTest.net is a really neat and slick web 2.0 version of the old Internet Connection Speed Test. Unlike most other similar services it loads fast and doesn't require Java. They also have servers all over the world so in theory it allows you to get a much more accurate idea of your connection's upload and download speeds.

Another feature is it generates a graphic and code that can be posted to web sites or message board forums. Sample above.

I have Adelphia Cable Internet but Comcast is taking over this very week and supposedly increasing the speed. I can't wait to see by how much. I'll be posting a result every couple days.
