My Shared Items

Back in September, Google Reader updated with a completely new look and feel featuring folder navigation, unread item counts and the ability to mark items as read or unread. It was like Bloglines, which I was using at the time, but in every respect Google's was far better. Since I read 584 feeds everyday I care a lot about the nuisances and can quickly tell if a feed reader will work for me or not.

But, since switching to Google Reader I haven't been using one of the new features until just the week before last. That feature is Sharing. Each new item has a one click Share button that automatically publishes the item on a Shared page which also produces its own RSS feed that anyone can subscribe to.

To highlight My Shared Items, I've created a My Shared Items page here on my blog and also added a link to it in the navigation.
