What Will Jobs Do?

NAB is coming up this weekend with Apple's special event to be held on Sunday April 15 at 11pm PDT 2pm EST in Las Vegas. Stay tuned this weekend as LoopRumors will cover the action live.

Steve Jobs will address the invited attendees during a speech in which LoopRumors expects him to address the recent Leopard delay announcement and introduce one or more new products.

Thursday's press release from Apple announcing the delay in releasing Mac OS X Leopard being just a few days before the NAB special event leads us to believe that Apple is preparing a product release or significant product update for this weekend in addition to a likely update in the Final Cut software line.

Possibilities range from new Cinema Displays to a Black iMac. ThinkSecret suggested the 17-inch MacBook Pro could receive a display update (high definition, LED backlight). Apple's Cinema Displays prices have been cut alongside the unveiling of the new 8-core Mac Pro early last week.

Last year, Apple introduced the MacBook Pro at NAB 2006 to the surprise of the Mac community and industry analysts.

Apple will also have a large booth at the show, which will be hosted by the Las Vegas Convention Center as noted in the Upcoming Events section. Typically the first booth in the South Hall, Apple has moved the booth this year to accommodate the larger size.

Boy, I'm really hoping to see new iMacs but I'd settle for a new MacBook Pro. No matter what, I will be heading down to Small Dog to order something this Monday.

Please Jobs, I'm praying to you, cancel the snow storm! I can't wait another day.
