Google and Apple Together At Last? Don't Bet On it.
With the iPhone's launch date nearing it's not that surprising that buyout rumors are becoming more prevalent.
Some of these rumors might sound plausible but they just don't work financially. Case in point, all the rumors about Google possibly being one of Apple's suitors. MG Siegler correctly points out the financial improbability.
While I don't doubt that Google and Apple would make an incredible pair I'm unconvinced they'll need or want to officially merge when they can continue to create strategic partnerships for specific products. In a way, both companies can get the milk for free without buying the cow. Why ruin a good thing?
