Starbucks Raising Prices July 31
Seattle Post-Intelligencer is reporting that Starbucks will be raising most beverages at their company owned stores an average of 9 cents on July 31.
The roughly 3 percent price bump is the second increase in nearly 10 months, after Starbucks raised the price of its coffee drinks by a nickel Oct. 3. That move was to cover higher labor, coffee and energy costs.
"We are always evaluating the cost of business," Borrman said. "If you look at supply chain cost, including dairy expenses, they have gone up. This is really par for the course of business as we look at our costs."
Borrman said no other items, including whole-bean coffee, pastries or sandwiches, are slated for a price increase at this time.
Pretty crummy. Will it stop me from visiting Starbucks daily? No, but it'll almost certainly cause me to not buy anything other than a drink each visit.
Has anyone tried Dunkin Donuts new ice teas?
