AT&T in Vermont Mid July?!
I've received a tip Tuesday that the GSM Towers and GSM Subscribers in Vermont will be handed over to AT&T on or around the middle of July! RCC CMDA subscribers will be handed over to Verizon at the same time. These hand-overs were originally scheduled to begin on June 2nd but were delayed.
The public announcement of the hand-overs will supposedly be made very soon but it's very unclear and uncertain how soon or if AT&T will officially take over or open stores in Vermont. In any case, we should be able to buy an iPhone at an AT&T or Apple Store in another state (such as Massachusetts) almost immediately after the hand-over is complete. We can then use the iPhone in Vermont without fear of early termination for excessive partner coverage use.
Keep your fingers crossed.

How reliable is your source?
I'm an AT&T customer (and slavishly addicted to my iPhone, which I want to upgrade to 3G soon) in NY and my job is moving me to Vermont in September. Please please please tell me that there's hope and I won't have to turn my iPhone into a very expensive IPod Touch!
Loving you right now if this is true!
