Dude, you're getting a Dell, again???

I finally decided to treat myself and just go ahead and get a new laptop instead of repairing the dud.

Yes, I decided to go with Dell again. On a whole I always found their systems pretty reliable and you can't beat their laptops unless you pay double for Alienware system.

I skimped on the processor by selecting only a Mobile Pentium® 4 1.6 GHz-M but did opt to upgrade to a 15.0 Dell UltraSharp Display. I won't be doing much gaming or video editing with it so I don't feel I'll need more processing power anyway.

To tell the truth currently anything over 1.5 GHz is thrown out money when it comes to laptops and their mobile chipsets. There is a huge bottleneck in the bus and any increased performance from the so called faster processors is hardly noticed.

For all you fellow "propeller heads" here are the full specs:
Memory: 512MB,DDR, 266M, 2DIMM
Video Card: 64MB DDR 4XAGP NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go™ 3D Video
Hard Drive: 60GB Ultra ATA 5400 RPM Hard Drive
Floppy Drive: 3.5 Floppy Drive
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
Network Adapters: Integrated Network Card
Modem Internal: 56K Modem
Fixed CD/DVD Drives: 24XCD-RW/DVD Combo w/Roxio's Easy CD Creator®
Additional Software: Microsoft® Office XP Professional w/Money 2002 and EducateU, Digital Music Dell Jukebox powered by MusicMatch
Accessories: Advanced Port Replicator and Monitor Stand Advanced Port Replicator, Additional Battery Lithium Ion Spare Battery, Notebook Accessories Targus Auto/Air Notebook Power Adapter.

For the bowling center I ordered an additional one just as above but with only a 40GB HD.
