Google Deskbar, a must have!

googledeskbar.gifGoogle has released a toolbar for Windows, the Google Deskbar. It allows you to search Google (and other sites, more on that later) from any application without lifting your fingers from your keyboard thanks to its customizable shortcuts. You also may use an optional preview search results window that can close automatically.

Definitely the coolest thing about it is the custom searches. I have added theses to mine: All Products:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Books:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Camera and Photo:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Computer and Video Games:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Electronics:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Kitchen and Housewares:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Outdoor Living:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Popular Music:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Software:{1}&tag=ubg-20 Tools and Hardware:{1}&tag=ubg-20{1}§ion=projects
Internet Movie Database:{1}
McAfee Virus Library:{1}

To add them to your deskbar click on 'Options...' in the menu and then the 'Customized Searches' tab. Click on the 'Add...' button. Copy and paste the Title of the links above into the 'Name for deskbar menu:' and the URL to the 'URL' box. Then click ok. You must do this for each of the links separately as there is no way to import (or export) Custom Searches, though I'm told this feature might be added in the future. Note that the links are populated with my associates tag (ubg-20) If you have an associates tag you may replace mine with it, otherwise you may just use mine.
