Comcast Cable Is Ridiculous
Almost immediately after Comcast swallowed up Adelphia the service went down hill. Adelphia's was never that great but I didn't think it could actually get worse! ffs Adelphia was in bankruptcy and bleeding cash.
At least once every hour our cable TV signal drops out to black and says "Low Signal" or "Poor Signal." (These are not generated by our TVs or TiVo, as those messages are different.) These interruptions can last seconds to minutes. On one occasion I was home for it lasted hours. Interruptions like this used to happen only occasionally on Adelphia's Digital Cable channels but with Comcast it is occurring on the analog cable channels as well and which such frequency that it's rather annoying.
To add insult to injury Comcast loves beating us over the head with an advertisement almost every commercial break that says, "...Cable never looks ridiculous. Sign up today for Comcast Digital Cable. Rain or shine you'll get crystal clear TV reception unlike satellite. Just call 1-888..." [emphasis added.]
Satellite is starting to look better and better to me. If only I could get DSL here I'd drop Comcast quicker than they can say crystal clear.

I think you should complain to the FCC:

I TOTALLY agree with the above comments! Comcast took over our Adelphia service just a few months ago ... and, as stated above, Adelphia's service wasn't the greatest ... but we have come to the conclusion that Comcast service is abysmally poorer in quality and customer service! EVERY single day our digital goes out. We experience freezing and tiling ... and never mind trying to watch the "free" On Demand service, because it is off air more often than it's on. As infrequently as we purchase films on the Movies on Demand service ... each and every time we have to fight freezing and tiling or downright shut down of the On Demand service. I've had the misfortune of having to call Comcast's customer service department nearly every day for the past couple of weeks. I can not believe how many rude and argumentative people they have working the phones!
We are seriously considering moving our "viewing pleasure" to Direct TV, as nearly 95% of our neighbors have already done. They, at least, are getting a steady, clear delivery of their television signal.
Comcast ... you really need to improve your service AND the attitudes of your customer service reps.
Oh, by the way ... "Rain or Shine" doesn't apply here (go figure) ... every time it rains, every time the wind blows or we have a bolt of lightening in the area, our cable delivery either falters or goes completely out. So much for that theory.
Disgusted With Comcast in Florida
Well - at least I do"nt feel alone with my comcast signal tiling issues. Take it from me - these are problems you"re just going to have to get used to if you keep comcast as your provider. I think their quality of service speaks for itself.
